Everyone wants to make the most out of their Summer whether you’ve got the whole of the season off or if you just want to do fun activities in between their jobs or other commitments. London has so much to offer in the summer for those who are on a budget and looking for free/cheap activities to those who feel like splashing the cash.

There are many exciting festivals hitting London this summer with massive acts heading to the city. One festival which definitely stands out the most is Lovebox. On July 14th-15th artists such as Frank Ocean, Mac Miller, Chase and Status and many more will be flooding Victoria Park with amazing sounds. Into your techno and dance music? South West Four would be the perfect festival for you on the August Bank Holiday in Clapham Common with crazy DJ’s such as Duke Dumont and Hannah Wants. These are just a couple of the larger festivals going on in London but there are many smaller festivals which will cost you less money but still provide you with an amazing experience. There will also be endless amount of free/super cheap gigs which are great for discovering new artists!

If you’re looking for more of a chilled out summer maybe visiting some of London’s amazing parks and gardens would be more up your street. Kensington Palace Gardens and the Royal Botanical Gardens are just some amazing places to visit and enjoy a peaceful walk around. In summertime it is great to catch the gardens when they are in full bloom and appreciate the nature around. Having a relaxing day in the park is another chilled way of passing a day in the summertime, heading to Hyde Park with a little picnic, a blanket and some friends is super cheap and makes out to be a really good day! If you’re feeling more adventurous you could even take some games down such as rounders and set up a big match!

Rooftop Bars and Sky Gardens are also a fantastic way to spend your summer days. Everyone loves sitting in the hot sun with a cold beverage whether its cider, pimms or a fruit mocktail. Rooftop bars allow you to catch up with friends and family and also take in some of the amazing views the city has to offer. Some of the best rooftop bars in London include: Dalston Roof Park, Queen Elizabeth Roof Garden Bar & Café and The Queen of Hoxton, each offer something different.  On top of that Camden is another great place to go in the summer to find some wacky bars and pubs for you to dive into.

It is clear that whatever type of person you are there is always going to be something available for you in the big city this summer to keep you occupied, no matter how much is may cost or whatever the unreliable British weather decides to throw our way!
