Firstly , we should all admit that the course we chose that has to do with art or anything based on that (either fashion, illustration, fine arts, printmaking etc)is not the easiest job to find immediately after graduation. Being an artist and specifically a succesful artist requires a lot...a lot hard work and never give up. London is a massive competitive place which there are full of artists. Remember that if you are a new student you have lots of stuff to learn and practice.Do not think that you are the best, trust me university and your tutors even you classmates have a lot of stuff to teach you!
So maybe after a while your whole perspective or opinion about art will be upside down. We were all a bit embarassed on talking with other people about art or judging each other's work and style but sometimes if we do not risk we lose everything. At least trying may lead to you success.
There are a lot of opportunites we meet as students and artists everyday especially in your university area like competitions , art talks do not hesitate to participate on this. There will be also too many times that you will have doubts as artists like-is this course right for me?Am i really what i want to be ?Do i really want to follow that field?Trust me if its in your blood and you have been always remember yourself since young age drawing and designing that its inside you.Whatever we do in this life we need to chase it. Especially something we have passion about it and we also investing money on it! Do noe give up ,even if you sometimes feel dissapointed of your work or that you think other people are better from you.Everybody has their own style working on art.Keep practicing as the practice is the mother of success! That's what I am saying at least so I can push myself more and more deep into my passion which is called art and illustration.Talk with other peoplego to exhibitions and make some connections with some great artists that can help you in the future!
