As we all know by now, London is a very big city! It is filled with lots of restaurants, work opportunities, entertainment and many more! The school year is soon starting and you will be meeting lots of new people, making new friends and learning new things. Going to university in London is an adventure! Your first few weeks may be filled with lots of student parties and of course before classes begin, freshers events!
There are so many things to do and living in London gives you a lot of opporunities to go and explore. One thing that is good to know is that almost all the museums in London are free. Yes, that's right, you read correctly, FREE! There are so many options and it may not seem very exciting but you will get drawn in once you go! I was never a big museum person but thanks to my family visiting me in London, we went to many museums and I ended up loving some of them. The British museum and the Natural History museum are both on the top of my list of go-to museums. There are so many things that you can see and new things that you can learn.
Museums are not the only thing that you can do in London. It may seem overrated but there is no harm in visiting all the famous tourist destinations. It would be strange to tell people that you've lived in London and not seen the Big Ben in person. It does not cost you anything and you get to see beautiful, old architecture! Also, if you have friends or family visiting, you would know where and how to take them around town and be an expert in all things London.
So there you go, these are just some examples of things that you can do in London. There are many other things that the city provides and you need to get out there to experience it. London is expensive but it's not an excuse for you not to go out and enjoy the city. You would be amazed how many things you can see just by walking around central London. Especially during your first year, when you have a lot of time!
