St Davids day is a little far away but it's never too early for Welsh cakes right?
right! I like mine warm with a dollop of butter! Oh and if you're in the market for foodstuffs there's more over here from time to time too.
8oz Self Raising flour
3oz Caster Sugar
a good helping of sultanas
a little milk
Crumb the butter & flour with your fingertips---mix the dried fruit through---add the egg and form into a ball--- only add milk if the dough won't form a ball---roll out to roughly 7-10mm thick---cut with a fluted cutter---cook for 3 or 4 minutes on each side in a non-stick pan or griddle---sprinkle with sugar---EASY!
