Lily’s student life in London
As the features writer for SUARTS I’ll be keeping you updated on what’s happening across UAL as well as offering advice on surviving as a student in London. My job is to bring to your attention to all of the many exciting opportunities available for you to explore from events and exhibitions to seminars and shows, if it’s interesting and original I’ll be there ready to sift out the juicy bits and feed them back to you in bite-sized chunks. I’m not just writing for the SU: I’m writing for the students. As such I want to bring you advice on the stuff that you really care about and are interested in: Where are the cheapest drinks in Soho? How do I get more exposure for my work? Is unpaid work experience really worth it? So if you know of something going on in London, then let me know and I’ll do my best to come along and cover it.
Being a new student myself, studying Fashion Contour at LCF, I know that sense of being ‘lost in London’, feeling like everything’s going on around you but you’re not sure how to break-in and be a part of it to make the most of your degree. So watch and read as I muddle through it all and hopefully we’ll pick up a few good tips together along the way.
