Cubana Waterloo

 

This brightly coloured Cuban bar is perfect if you’re looking for a new, fun bar to visit. Cubana has an extensive cocktail list, mainly based around Cuba’s most famous export- rum! Check out the happy hour from 5-7pm where it’s buy one get one free! However, once it’s time to get kicked out of the office, it can get very crowded quickly, so grab yourself a table before! Cubana also offers lunch set menus for great value, as well as a full evening menu and daytime street food. There is live music or DJ every night, entry is free weeknights and Sundays, and up until 11pm on weekends when the charge is £5 for the late night Salsa club. Just a few minutes walk from Waterloo station, it’s easy to locate!

 

Four Quarters Peckham

 

What makes The Four Quarters so unique is the wall to wall retro arcade games. Whether you’re into gaming or not the passionate staff are sure to excite you to play, if not just chill out and enjoy the bars’ relaxed vibes. The Four Quarters offers up a fun alternative to the ordinary pub date or hangout, whether you get competitive with your company on Maria Cart or you take on Pacman single handily you’re sure to find a game suited to you. With a range of craft beers and ales and a bar food menu (check out the Tuesday guest chefs Slow Richies, they attract a crowd of their own), it’s easy to spend your evening here. Situated in the middle of Peckham high street or five minutes walk from Peckham Rye station it’s a great place to let your hair down and have some old school fun.

 

The Tiger Camberwell

 

On weekdays, The Tiger is a cosy, warm pub with big comfy couches and lots of tucked away tables, perfect for some privacy on a date, catch up or to study. However, on the weekends the Tiger really comes alive with a DJ until 3:30am. Mixing together students and young professionals, it can be great fun! The Tiger regularly changes the guest craft beers and ales as well keeping a range of different rums in stock, so the drinks menu is always fresh. A variety of food is also available, but ‘The Tiger Classic Burger’ is the pride of the menu, and it’s fantastic! Entry is always free, however expect queues the later it gets on the weekends! Located on Camberwell Green, it’s only ever a bus away.
