  3. And 50% of whom have come to us from abroad, making UAL one of the most diverse universities in the UK!
  4. UAL offers courses on all levels from Foundation to PhD.
  5. It consists of 6 colleges, currently spread over 13 sites.
  6. But LCC and LCF will soon be moving to brand new buildings.
  7. In its current form, UAL only exists since 2004 – but the individual colleges are much older.
  8. Since August 2015, UAL’s Chancellor is Turner prize-winning artist Grayson Perry…

  11. Famous UAL alumni include Alexander McQueen (CSM), Florence Welch (Camberwell), Charles Saatchi (LCC), Jimmy Choo (LCF), Jeff Beck (Wimbledon) and Alexa Chung (Chelsea).
  12. Each college has its own library… and you can use them all.
  13. UAL students have free online access to the complete archive of American Vogue - from the first issue in 1892!
  14. LCC holds a large Stanley Kubrick archive, with film props, posters and other materials. Why not book a visit?
  15. The UAL Language Centre offers 12-week crash courses in 5 modern languages: French, German, Italian, Mandarin and Spanish.
  16. All UAL students are represented by a Students’ Union – SUARTS – which organises fun events, coordinates clubs and societies, helps you promote your work, and lobbies the University for issues students care about – such as cheaper printing and longer opening hours!
  17. It also offers a Student Initiative Fund of up to £200 to support creative projects that students come up with. Got an idea? Apply!
